The "Hong Kong Society for Nursing Education Limited" is committed to the promotion of the quality of nursing practice and nursing education in Hong Kong. The Society supports:
Basic Nursing Education
Pre-registration nursing education undertaken as a university undergraduate degree programme.
A four-year programme leading to the award of "Bachelor of Nursing (Hons)" as a requirement to prepare competent registered nurses.
A comprehensive nursing education programme to prepare registered nurses who can practise in a variety of health care settings and meet the diverse health care needs of society.
The Government developing a long-term policy for the development of nursing education and a commitment to resource sufficient First-Year First-Degree nursing programme places to meet nursing personnel needs.
The employers of nurses supporting and facilitating the career development of nurse educators in the hospital-based schools of nursing.
